K.G. Diwali Celebration

29 / Oct

Diwali, also known as the "Festival of Lights," symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. It fosters unity, joy, and reverence.
On October 29th, 2024, a special assembly was organized for Kindergarten and Nursery students to celebrate Diwali. Children showcased the frenzy of the festival by dressing up in ethnic wear. The event began with the prayer "Hey Ram..." followed by a narration connecting the significance of Dussehra and Diwali. The dance – drama by the senior students, of the pivotal story of Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya, added depth to the celebration.
The children were encouraged to celebrate a 'Green Diwali' by pledging kindness and donating to those in need. They learned about cleanliness, cultural traditions, and the joy of sharing gifts, as well as different ways to celebrate Diwali. Children thoroughly enjoyed the lively dance session, joyfully dancing alongside Megha Ma’am, Saurabh Sir, and other teachers.
To add to the festivities, the classrooms and corridors were beautifully decorated with diyas and garlands contributed by parents, enhancing the festive ambiance.
To further enrich the celebrations, the children participated in various creative activities. They designed rangolis with flower petals under their teachers' guidance and crafted diyas out of clay. Their artwork was truly a visual treat.
They also decorated lanterns with colourful frills, which they took home as cherished mementos of the celebration.
Overall, the event was an enriching and joyous experience, combining education with fun and imparting valuable life lessons to the children.
