Event: Incredible India
Date: August 13, 2025
Venue: Auditorium, Resource Room and Classrooms
Description: Independence Day and Janmashtami celebrations
Nursery and K.G. celebrated Independence Day and Janmashtami on August 13, 2025.
To showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Incredible India, children came dressed in tricolour accessories and traditional attire.
The 79th Independence Day was commemorated with the singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, followed by a dramatization of the Independence Day story. Children dressed as freedom fighters and national symbols, confidently portrayed their characters and spoke with pride about their significance.
The enthusiastic march past by Nursery children filled the atmosphere with cheer and excitement as they marched to the rhythm of the iconic song ‘Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon’, with bright smiles and lively energy. The celebration concluded with the flag hoisting ceremony and the singing of our glorious national anthem.Later, in the classroom, children coloured a worksheet on national symbols and freedom fighters.
For the Janmashtami celebration, classrooms were decorated with colourful matkis and flowers. Children listened to the story of Lord Krishna’s birth and his playful childhood antics- forming a human pyramid to break and steal butter from a hanging earthen pot. This act, popularly known as 'Dahi Handi' was re-enacted by the children. A spectacular tableau depicting key moments from Lord Krishna’s life was displayed in the resource room. Children joyfully viewed it and swung baby Krishna’s idol placed in a beautifully decorated cot. The festive spirit continued with dancing on Janmashtami songs.
As a memento of the celebrations, children carried home a tricolour flute they had coloured themselves.
