Celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti

The celebration of Guru Nanak Jayanti was held to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru with devotion and joy.

The celebration commenced with a heartwarming session that enlightened the children about the true meaning and significance of the festival. They learned about the three key teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji — remembering God (Naam Japo), sharing with others (Vand Chhako) and earning an honest living (Kirat Karo).

This was followed by a Prabhat Feri, where charming Sikh boys dressed as Panj Pyaare and graceful Sardarnis in traditional attire joyfully participated, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere.

The celebration beautifully instilled the values of faith, kindness and honesty in the children.

Colouring of a related worksheet was done and the children took it home as a memento of the festival.
